5 Sentidos - Jabalí-Tobalà 45% ABV
This small batch of Jabalí - Tobalá (42% - 58% by weight, respectively), is the first batch Reynaldo Alejandro, son-in-law of famed mezcalero Alberto Martinez, distilled on his own without the input of family members. With the help of some friends, Reynaldo hiked into mountains surrounding Santa Catarina Albarradas, Oaxaca, to manually harvest over a combined two hundred piñas of Tobalá (a. Potatorum & Seemannjana) and Jabalí (a. Convallis). Reynaldo then roasted the two species of agaves together in an underground oven for four days with encino oak, insulating the piñas with banana and acacia leaves. Post-roast, the cooked agaves were then mashed by hand with wooden mallets and transferred to cement tanks to ferment. Ground "encino de agua" bark was added to the tanks to supplement and stabilize the fermentation. After just two days of fermentation, Reynaldo began to double-distill the mash, eventually producing 112 liters. Adjusted with heads, hearts and tails by Reynaldo. Distilled July 2022, bottled in August of the same year.

- Products that have been opened are NOT eligible for a return.
- A damaged package request and picture evidence of damaged items must be made within 24 hours of receiving your ‘shipment delivered’ email notification. Note that damaged products must be returned to us in order to receive a refund.
